Situated at an altitude of 12, 400 feet in the Eastern Himalayas, Tsomgo (also known as Changu) lake is one of India’s gorgeous high altitude lakes. It is located in East Sikkim and falls enroute to the Nathu La pass which signifies the India-China international border. While, this lake is pretty all around the year, I like it best when it is snowed in and the surroundings carry a hazy white overtone. This photo was taken on one such cold day.
