Travel Photo of the Day: BRO Milestones, India
If you have ever traveled the roads of the Indian Himalayas, you would have come across the many milestones with their eye catching messages. These road safety messages read something like this…’Be Gentle on my Curves’, ‘After Whiskey, Driving Risky’, ‘Don’t be Gama in the Land of the Lama’ and many others. These mountain roads, which take us to some of the prettiest sights of the Indian Himalayas are maintained by BRO – Border Roads Organization, a group of the Indian Army who work in hostile terrain and weather to ensure that the roads remain in top shape and thus enabling us to travel with ease. Thank you BRO for all your hard work and special efforts. This photo was taken somewhere between Barlacha La pass and Tanglang La pass in Himachal Pradesh. It falls on the popular route connecting Manali to Leh.
