Travel Photo of the Day: Valparai, India
Valparai is one of those hill stations that still offers a colonial look and feel. But, it is one of my favorite hill stations because it is located right in the middle of an elephant corridor. Sandwiched between the Anaimalai Tiger Reserve, the Prambikukam Tiger Reserve and the Chalakudy cloud forests, one can see actual wild animals and rich birdlife in these very tea estates. I have spotted wild gaurs, elephants, leopards, lion-tailed macaques and tons of hornbills here. In this picture are wild gaur grazing at one of the tea estates of Valparai.
