Travel Photo of the Day: Ki Monastery, India
Surrounded by the heavenly Himalayan mountains, this Buddhist monastery is one of the largest Buddhist temples in the gorgeous Spiti valley. Situated at a height of 13, 668 feet, the monastery commands a stunning view of the Spiti river, the Rangrik village on the other bank and the snow covered mountains. Go here for tranquillity and learning. They have some of the oldest religious books. And while you are visiting this monastery, make sure to explore the neighbouring village of Kibber that holds the distinction of being India’s highest polling station.
