Personally revered by me and my family since I was a kid, these cookies are a hot favorite for a lot of Indians. Their taste is unmatched and their variety is also phenomenal.


Set up right after India’s Independence, Karachi Bakery is a household name in Hyderabad. Originally known for their biscuits, they have diversified into cakes, pastries, mithai and chocolates. But, personally, I only dig their biscuits. They make more than 36 types of biscuits that include Fruit biscuits, Osmania biscuits, Cashew biscuits, Badam Pista and many more. My personal favorite are the Fruit Biscuits. I have never tasted biscuits like these anywhere else. The salted Osmania biscuits come a close second. Whenever I am in Hyderabad, I make it a point to visit Karachi bakery, indulge in some biscuits and carry some back for my family and friends.


As far as I know, Karachi Bakery operates in 3 places in Hyderabad – Banjara Hills, Hitech city and the International Airport. They have even started selling in supermarkets in different cities, but it is difficult to find all the flavors.
