Family Vacations: Make your Money Stretch

Home to over 20 international airports, it’s easy to take off to nearby or far flung destinations around the world from India. Family vacations can often be expensive no matter where you fly from but there are plenty of ways to achieve savings and still enjoy a first class holiday.

Go all-inclusive
Booking all-inclusive family holidays is a sure way to cut your spending whilst on vacation. All-inclusive means that most of your drinks and meals will be included in the overall price and this makes good financial sense for families. Most holiday operators will offer all-inclusive packages whether you are booking a beach resort hotel or enjoying a week or two in a major city.

Destinations close to home
If you’re looking for a vacation spot close to India then you have a wealth of countries that can be reached within a few hours flight time. Popular holiday locations include South and South East Asian countries such as the Kingdom of Bhutan, Cambodia, Singapore and Nepal. For sparkling beaches, Sri Lanka can be reached in around four hours while the Philippines is a slightly longer flight at around six hours. Quick flights not only make travelling easier for children but will also help to keep the cost of your vacation to a minimum.

Consider a cruise
Travel to some of the world’s most popular destinations and achieve good savings by taking one of the many cruises setting sail from India. Cruises have the added bonus of the all-inclusive feature, which means food, drinks and some shore excursion activities will be included in the price. Cruise ship holidays have increased sharply in popularity thanks to the low prices as well as providing holidaymakers with the chance to visit multiple destinations within one trip. Voyages from India can include Australia, the Maldives and African destinations including Morocco and Egypt.

Head west from India
Nearby India you will find a number of amazing Middle Eastern destinations, such as Turkey. Beautiful beaches resorts such as Marmaris and Oludeniz, make Turkey one of the most popular family holiday options in the world. It can be reached in around five hours and offers excellent value for money with low cost restaurants, excursions and activities. If you’re looking for glamour, great nightlife, fabulous beaches and a wealth of family activities then consider the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is a mere four hours flight time from central India and some great deals can be found by using the all-inclusive option and by booking late deal holidays.

A little online research should easily bring some great holiday locations and deals whether you are flying from India or sailing the seas. Keep an eye out for last minute deals and free child places in order to maximize your savings and make your holiday money stretch further, to ensure the best holiday ever!
