Chestnut Headed Bee Eaters from Yala National Park, Sri Lanka

Bee eaters are one bird species that are commonly seen in the Indian sub continent. But, there are some varieties that are rarely spotted and one of them includes the Chestnut Headed Bee Eater. And hence, I was super elated when I saw a Chestnut Headed Bee Eater couple during my trip to Yala National Park in Sri Lanka.

Like most of the bee eaters, this couple were not too shy and posed for a long while. Below are some of the pictures that I shot of this beautiful bird.

  2. Yes, they are a bit underexposed. bad lighting. Could have bumped up the ISO, but I generally prefer sharp images of wildlife and birds. And yes, they are uncropped.
