Winding Himalayan Roads of Western Arunachal Pradesh

The winding Himalayan roads of Western Arunachal Pradesh offer an amazing driving experience. Some of them are also worthy enough for a serious driving challenge.


The experience gets mightily impressive when the steep cliffs present stunning views of fast moving mountain rivers, snow capped peaks and green valleys.


My favourite stretch for such winding roads is the road that connects Sela pass to the Buddhist town of Tawang. The initial stretch is covered in snow and the latter is green. But, both are equally pretty.

 
But, for those who are prone to motion sickness, prepare yourself for these twist n turns before you reach the Himalayan Buddhist kingdom of Tawang.

    Wow..What the adventures road trip it will be if I visit there..I love adventure and definitely visit the place..Just wondering to know which transportation will be best? Bus,cab or car...

    Cabs are the best option. Buses are rare. And personal cars are a bad option given that the roads are bad.

    Totally! In fact, it is one of my plans to do a pan Arunachal Pradesh motorcycle ride just before the winter sets in.

    Arunachal Pradesh is a beautiful state in India...It is always my personal favorite destination for traveling...It has many things to offer to the visitors...It is famous for its beautiful landscapes,amazing views and rich history too...The pics of the roads on the cliffs is looking like snake running on the land....The roads delivers a good driving experience...

    Really a good capture.i want to experience car drive in such a road.It will be great experience for car drive in such a road.It appears to be easy but driving in such roads need expertise and carefulness.
