While making my travel plans and hotel bookings, the one product that I used to yearn for is a platform that connects the popular travel and hotel sites/companies. I used to find it extremely difficult and time consuming to go through the umpteen travel websites available in the market and worse that each used to quote a different price.
Recently, I came across a cool product called ‘HotelCalculator.com’ that nearly addressed all my requirements and I am sure all travellers across the globe would appreciate the simple user interface and the depth of hotel coverage.
HotelCalculator.com is an online hotel comparison engine that checks availability and prices of more than 100,000 hotels simultaneously across the globe. Their accommodation database that includes hotels, apartments, hostels and guest houses span over 13,000 cities worldwide. They cover the entire price range from luxury hotels to budget accommodations.
The reason I like the interface of HotelCalculator.com is because it is as simple as the flight booking system. All one has to enter are the from and to dates, number of guests, number of rooms and the destination names. Not only does this system bring up all the options, but it also allows the user to book directly from here.
And for all the iPhone users, HotelCalculator.com is available as a HotelCalculator iPhone App that can be downloaded from the iPhone AppStore. This iPhone App provides all the functionality as that of the website and allows the user to search for hotels in their location, book directly from the phone and helps save money and time.
This is one product that deserves to be on the radar of every traveller. Hopefully, its depth of coverage in terms of hotels and cities increases with time and the overall functionality gets richer.

Cool site and a very helpful gadget!
ReplyDeleteYes. Hopefully, they will come up with more hotels and cover more destinations. Then, it will become one formidable application.
