Tibetan Wolf
I saw the ‘Tibetan Wolf’ during my recent visit to the Himalayan Zoological Park near Gangtok in Sikkim, India.
The Tibetan Wolf is a subspecies of the grey wolf that is believed to be the most likely ancestor of the domestic dog.
Well, at least to me, it looked like a woolly version of the domestic dog. It had a nice, thick and furry coat. May be it was ferocious, but I couldn’t tell that by seeing its calm demeanour.
I look forward to see this magnificent creature in the wild someday. So far, the only wolf species that I have seen in the wild is the Indian Wolf.
