A lot of colourful, rare and exotic flowers bloom in Coorg, one of India’s favourite tropical hotspots. These colourful flowers along with other colourful plants, the blanket of greenery and the tall tropical trees form a exotic tropical mix. No wonder that Coorg is called the ‘Scotland of India’.
I shot these flowers during my trip to Coorg a couple of weeks back. The location of these pictures is Honey Valley Estate, which is located near Kakkabe on the Virajpet – Madikeri highway.
These flowers came in different colours, shapes and sizes. And the monsoon rains added a dash of freshness in their already exotic bloom.
The pink flowers is what captured a lot of my attention owing to their inverted form. Even the large pinkish-orange flower looks very exotic.
Unfortunately, I do not know the names of any of these flowers and hence would appreciate if you shared the names of the flowers you recognize.
Big or small, inverted or straight up, the flowers of Coorg sure do have an exotic appeal about them.

Beautiful captures, I remember the many nurseries I saw there.
