With all of the information available on the internet, many people feel it is easy to find great deals on flights, hotels, rental vehicles and anything else that is important for booking a vacation. There are many great deals available online but it does not take the place of hiring a travel agent. A travel agency can help you get the best value for your money while planning your next vacation. Travel agencies provide expertise, lower costs through relationships, and discounted package deals. There are many large travel agencies available such as Liberty Travel, but if you prefer something smaller, you can find many local agencies that also have great deals.
It is important that travel agents are well trained and very knowledgeable. This expertise allows you to plan your itinerary based on the suggestions of your travel agent. You can save lots of time with this knowledge, allowing you plan other aspects of your trip.
Dealing with travel on a daily basis, travel agents often build relationships with individuals all over the world. These relationships are very beneficial because they can provide recommendations directly from the location you are planning to visit. Travel agents can also obtain discounts from resorts and hotels with these connections.
Package deals are an important benefit of planning a trip through a travel agency. These travel packages often include hotel, food, and flights at a discounted rate than buying them individually.
These are a few reasons for choosing a travel agency when booking a vacation. Although you can easily find great deals online when booking a trip by yourself, you just won’t receive the expertise and deals that are available through a travel agent.

I still prefer dealing direct with the airline/hotel and avoid agencies where possible
ReplyDeleteI agree, but sometimes, travel agents save u the time of research and running....then in the case of difficult terrains...it is good to get some local knowledge...
ReplyDeletei am not saying that all travel agents are good...some of them are....
But, I still agree with you....
Went to Sikkim a few months ago and all the travel agent did was to try selling us the standard package with stuff we had specifically told him we were not interested in. The only good thing that came out of it was we got air tickets booked. The rest was all unplanned. We had plans made on a per day basis and dealt with the drivers and hotels ourselves. Worked out much better.
ReplyDeleteI understand and completely agree with you. Most of the travel agents in India do not work towards creating a customized plan for the tourist and instead sell just the standard cliche packages.
