At a certain junction on the densely forested Andaman trunk road, all vehicles (tourist, government and local) have to take a ferry to cross the calm, but deep waterways to reach the other side.
These ferries literally crawl over to the other side of the waterway, but are able to take quite a bit of load and such loads include both passengers and heavy vehicles.
Though the ferry ride in itself is boring and the constant drone of the ferry engine a pain, the scenery that one can experience in this tropical zone is a very pleasant sight. The lush mangroves, the dense tropical forests and the tall evergreen trees in the background mesmerize one during this ferry ride.

Really mesmerizing. The ferry is very large.
ReplyDeleteYes PNS....The ferry was so large that it could accommodate 2 government buses, about 7-8 cars/jeeps and over 150 people. But, with all this weight, it moved slower than a snail on land.
