Rialto Beach is one of those extremely different beaches located in the Pacific North West of the United States and is a part of the Olympic National Park.
Well, for starters, the beach is a jet black sand stretch, which makes it very unique. Then, we have these giant logs that end up on this beach after facing the fury of the Pacific typhoons and cyclones.
These giant logs along with the massive temperate rainforests by the beach make for a great sight. To make matters even more interesting are the seastacks, that are giant rock protrusions on small islands by the coastline.

ReplyDeleteI guess the beach sand is black because of the erosion from the nearby black seastacks (limestone rocks) nearby. The whole area is filled with such seastacks.
