Parasailing at Hoskote Lake - A Sunday morning Adventure!!

The agenda for a bright Sunday morning was to let our hair down and engage in some fun and adventure.

The group consisted of eleven adventure seeking souls. It took us just over an hour to reach Hoskote Lake – our final destination. Hoskote Lake is situated about 30 kms from Bangalore city.

Parasailing is an excellent option at this place as the lake is bone-dry and the open land makes for some moderate wind speeds.

So, one by one, each of us geared up and readied ourselves for approximately five minutes of airdom.

All of us had a body harness that was supposed to be connected to the parachute and at the other end was a 350 foot long rope that was connected to the gypsy (Indian jeep).

The jeep would go against the wind and we had to just take a couple of steps before getting airborne.

Though this sport is not really fear-inducing, it is great fun and is the simplest way to get in the air.

The entire experience was fabulous except for the dry morning heat that wore us down quickly. The views from the top were stunning.

This entire parasailing trip was organized by Thrillophilia, an adventure travel company along with their local partner “Horizon Adventures”.

  1. Using a camera appeases the anxiety which the work-driven feel about not
working when they are on vacation and supposed to be having fun. They
have something to do that is like a friendly imitation of work: they can
    take pictures.
