The Banyan takeover at ROSS Island

One of the most interesting sights at ROSS Island is the Banyan takeover or at least that's what I call it.

The Banyan takeover is when the roots of the banyan tree take over the entire building structure.

In this case, most of the dilapidated structures of yester years on this island have been taken over by the banyan trees and its giant roots.

The sight of the twisted and convoluted roots against the old reddish bricks of the buildings is indeed worth admiration.

It is a fabulous experience to just sit cross legged under the shade of these banyan covered buildings and enjoy the various formations, shapes and connections at leisure.
