The Indian Navy has its base on this island and they should take a bow as they have really taken care of this island, called the ROSS Island.
The place, its cleanliness, its organization and its natural beauty completely bowls one over.
Tourists are allowed on only one half of the ROSS island and have to pay a fee to enter this island, but I am extremely happy to say that our monies are being put to good use.
The reddish naval structures contrast extremely well against the natural colours of emerald and sky blue.
While I was jumping in joy as my boat approached the island, I have to say that I have never seen the Indian flag set against a prettier background!!
