Silver Sands of the Kavaratti Beach!!

As I disembarked from the boat and onto the main jetty at Kavaratti, I stood amazed at the sweet combination of emerald waters and silver sands.

 
The entire expanse wore a postcard look. A short walk took me to the Kavaratti beach, where the Lakshadweep Tourism folks had set up a welcome session for us.


After savouring extremely sweet coconut drinks, I went barefoot to feel the silver sands of the Kavaratti beach.


And, it felt like powder under my feet. One can feel totally at peace here with its glimmering beach sandwiched between the shallow lagoon waters on one side and swaying coconut trees on the other side.

 
After admiring this extremely clean beach, I decided it was time for me to beat the tropical heat and get into the water and do some splashing around and more...
