Rocky, yet very fascinating side of Kavaratti

There are some things that people learn while travelling and the thing that I learnt is that most islands that have a lagoon on one side have a rocky side too.

Even Kavaratti had a rocky side. None of the folks mentioned this part of the island as there was no infrastructure and the waters were rough.

But, what they failed to tell us is that these rocky beaches were an extremely pretty sight in their own unique way.

The rocks in the ocean, the spray from the rough waves, the triangular concrete structures that were kept to prevent erosion, the small stretches of sand and the coconut trees all formed a magical concoction.

Even the bridge for the desalination plant added to the charm amidst these rocks and waves.
