Unlike the tropical islands of Kavaratti and Kadmat, that had silver sands as their beaches, Kalpeni island is blessed with only small rocky beaches.
But, to make up for that loss, it has about 4 small islands as its neighbour and all the water between them is a lovely lagoon that is ideal for kayaking, snorkelling and swimming.
And on the islands, is the lovely natural shade of the tall coconut trees. Under these trees, one can forget all worries and relish nature’s beauty and warmth.
The place is so beautiful and quiet that one can sip into the tender coconut umbrella drink and paint a canvas.
