My friend and I were at Munnar, the tea capital of Kerala. It was late evening and heavy rains forced us to stop at the first piece of available flat land and to set up camp there.
Only when we got up in the morning did we realize that we had pitched our tent amidst tea gardens.
Unlike the evening before, the morning was bright and the skies were a clear blue.
The entire landscape of tea gardens wore an entrancing look.
Though the icing on the cake was taken by a group of kids diving and taking a swim in a nearby water tank!!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteWhere was this campsite exactly. Was it a private land? Was it OK to rig up the tents there?
It was public land. Some local houses were there nearby and no one minded us pitching our tents there. It was in some village. I dont remember the name. You can find many such places around Munnar.
