The last three days were complete bliss for me at the Calangute and Baga beaches of North Goa. I was headed south towards Karnataka, when I thought of taking a slight detour by just riding through the city of Panjim.
I crossed many retro-styled buildings and churches, but the thing that caught my eye were the umpteen number of cruise boats that were lined up at the jetty on the Mandovi River.
These supremely popular (so I am told) cruise boats take tourists out into the Arabian sea to enjoy great views of the sunset or take them east to the island of Chorao. Additionally and in line with the Goan spirit, live music is played on the deck.
I had just enough time to gaze around, but looking at this place and imagining its offerings, I made myself the promise that I would take all the boat cruises on the Mandovi river very soon!!
