The Aura of Snoqualmie Falls - taking a break from our shopping frenzy

An event of days gone by...Back in the days when I was working with Aditi Technologies at Bellevue in Washington.

It was one fine summer weekend when  Ravi Kittu, Ramya Venkat and I planned to go on a shopping frenzy. We had nearly finished our shopping at the Northbend shopping mall when we decided to visit Snoqualmie Falls, which is one of Washington state's most scenic attractions. We took small, yet pretty country roads to reach the Snoqualmie town, which is just a short distance from the Northbend shopping mall.

We didn't have much time on our hands as there was more shopping for us to do. So we went to our only stop here, which was the tourist view point adjoining a cliff. One can safely view the beauty of the Snoqualmie falls here. I was completely mesmerized by the beauty that this natural waterfall had to offer. The mist, the colour of the water, the spray seemed to add to the sensation. This 82m high waterfall sure did look pretty to my eyes and I started thinking how this waterfall would look in the rainy season, during floods and during the snowing cold winter season.  After admiring this natural beauty, Ravi kept us occupied with his bag of tricks and we made our way back to our shopping frenzy state.

One of the places I would definitely want to be during the non-summer months. But, this time with a lot of time at  hand and maybe hike the nearby trails that this place has to offer.

  1. Thank you Mridula! Yes, it is indeed a great natural wonder. It is supposed to be even prettier during the winter season with snow surrounding the entire waterfall and hence on my "To see" list :-)
